Breaking news for Rosalía fans: The singer and MAC Viva Glam ambassador’s latest beauty drop with the brand is finally available to shop online, with purchases available in-store starting today. Named after her buzzy 2019 single, the 18-piece MAC Aute Cuture Starring Rosalía collection features a mix of makeup staples, like matte and liquid lipsticks (including her very own Rusi Woo shade), face and eye palettes, plus an assortment of nail adornments and lacquers in nude, red, and gold tones.

For Rosalía, glossy manicures with embellishments are much more than a hobby; aside from her tremendous vocal talent, the star frequently wears a set of bold or bedazzled nails, which no doubt has served as one of the main inspirations behind this collaboration. “They’re a symbol of power and strength—of radical and extreme femininity,” she says in a brand release. “At the same time, they could almost appear to be a weapon.”

As MAC is typically known for its pro-approved makeup and brushes, this collection’s new nail additions are beauty products MAC devotees haven’t seen from the brand in years. MAC national artist Luisa Sporkenback is especially thrilled about the latest high-gloss nail offerings. “I’m not only excited to see a beautiful combination of my favourite colours and finishes, but also to celebrate MAC bringing back nail polish,” Sporkenback says. “These adornments will turn every nail creation into a piece of art.” Coordinating with the collection’s base hues, Aute Cuture’s accents stickers come in sets of 10, featuring ruby red, gold, and holographic crystals.
To achieve Rosalía’s signature MAC beauty look with the makeup products from the collection, the singer first starts with a few dots of well-placed foundation, blended with her fingertips. Next, she adds some swipes of concealer under her eyes, on her chin, and around her nose to brighten and minimise redness. Rosalía then uses the shade Café con Leche from her Eye Shadow X 10: R palette in her eye creases and along the bridge of her nose to contour, and the colour Melaza for an all-over lid colour.

After lining and filling in her lips with pencil, the star reaches for the matte Rusi Woo lipstick and applies it directly in the centre of her lips and buffs it out with a small, fluffy brush. Rosalía uses Azafrán from her eye palette to craft winged liner with a small brush, and applies the Maca highlighter from her Extra Dimension Skinfinish X 4: R Picks face palette to the tip of her nose and high points of her cheeks. She finishes her look with the blush shade Guindilla on the apples of her cheeks, plus a little brow gel and mascara for extra polish.
When it comes to the intention behind releasing the new range of products, Sporkenback says it all boils down to self-expression. “The mixture of iconic nudes and fiery-red hues throughout the whole collection is built for opportunities to express yourself,” Sporkenback adds. “Whatever individual take you create with these versatile shades, it’s clear that Rosalía picked beautiful textures and tones to enhance your features in a very empowering and authentic way.”
