You probably know about color correction, when you use different concealer shades to minimize any skin imperfections. Green covers redness, orange works on blue-ish under-eye circles, yellow covers any purple on the skin like a bruise, purple covers any yellow-ish skin, and pale pink brightens your complexion. Now, girls on Instagram are using all the colors on their face at one time, to create a fun look that really delivers results.

This started with YouTubers TianaCosmetics and Nicol Concilio, who collabed on a beauty tutorial using Nyx Color Correction Concealer. They used the affordable palette to make really awesome designs on their faces, applying each shade where they want the correcting. Each girl made sure to add a disclaimer that this was really just for fun — you don't HAVE to make these designs on your face to use the palette or to color correct your skin. But, why not? It's pretty cool and it really does work.

It's like magic when it all gets blended away. The designs sort of resemble clown contouring.

The girls are right; you don't need to paint your face to make color correcting work for you. But you can totally take inspo from these incredible videos next time you want to cover a blemish or make under-eye circles look less noticeable. Genius.
