Swiss artistry lies at the heart of every La Prairie creation, like the new Skin Caviar Luxe Cream

A marriage of science, aesthetics and indulgence, La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Luxe Cream is a work of art. Three decades on, not only has this iconic youth elixir been remastered to become more potent than ever before, it has also served as the inspiration for a unique collaboration with Art Basel, the world’s leading art platform with exhibitions across the globe.

In fact, the Swiss brand’s intrinsic link to art dates back to its origins—the signature cobalt blue packaging of the La Prairie Skin Caviar collection was inspired by French avant-garde artist, Niki de Saint Phalle and her love for this hue in her works. Today, to honour the legacy of de Saint Phalle as well as the newly reformulated Skin Caviar range, La Prairie has partnered with fellow Swiss, artist Manon Wertenbroek, to create a series of exclusive artworks. Wertenbroek’s three works, Mirrors, Blue Portrait and Window Glimpse, pay tribute to the iconic cobalt blue while reflecting the brand’s heritage of caviar expertise and cutting-edge techniques at the same time.

To celebrate this collaboration of Swiss artistry, these works were presented alongside de Saint Phalle’s signature Pouf serpent bleu at Art Basel in Switzerland earlier this year. It was an artistic dialogue between creators of beauty, both past and present. But one cannot forget the true masterpiece—the remastered Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, as well as the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream Sheer and Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask.
