The first look at Lancôme’s collaboration with Proenza Schouler, the New York-based womenswear brand by design duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, does not disappoint.

Their partnership with the French beauty house sees Proenza Schouler’s second move into make-up, after working with MAC on a surf-inspired collection back in 2014.

“Lancôme has always represented the epitome of luxury beauty products so it is like a dream come true to be able to collaborate with such an iconic and historic brand,” said McCollough and Hernandez of the collaboration.

The limited-edition make-up collection, launching this August 1st, delivers in reflecting the design talents’ unique approach to colour; modern, bold and – undeniably – beautiful.

“Borne by the radical approach of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Proenza Schouler fashion is the manifesto of a strong, free femininity,” Françoise Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme International says. “The idea of ‘empowerment’ is at the heart of their values, just as it has always been at the heart of the Lancôme philosophy.”

The Lancôme x Proenza Schouler collection contains the Chroma Eye Palette, £50, with 10 vibrant shades in a highly pigmented, creamy powder available in two versions (Cold Chroma and Warm Chroma); a Cushion Highlighter Chroma, £30; four shades of L’Absolu Rouge Chroma Lipstick, £ 25.50; three shades of Matte Shaker for lips, £19.50; four shades of the Lip Kajal Duo Chroma, £25.50 – featuring a lip pencil and matte lipstick at one end, and a satin gloss at the other; four shades of Ombre Hypnôse Kajal Chroma, £20 – multi-use eye pencils; and a Monsieur Big mascara, £21, in shade Burgundy.

Lancôme has previously worked with Alber Elbaz, Anthony Vaccarello, Sonia Rykiel and Olympia Le-Tan, among other renowned designers, on collections that have been welcomed by beauty and fashion fans in tandem.

The Lancôme x Proenza Schouler collection will be available exclusively to John Lewis from August 1st 2018.
