Lily James has scored a series of great roles within the past year, starring in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, War & Peace, Downton Abbey and Cinderella (plus an upcoming stage production of Romeo and Juliet in London). Now, she just snagged another starring role as the face of the My Burberry fragrances, marking her first-ever ad campaign.

"I am thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry family. I am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot," James said in a statement.

The images won't be revealed until August—accompanied by a film and photos shot by Mario Testino—when the new My Burberry Black fragrance premieres, but the 27-year-old actress is already hinting at what to expect: "Shooting my first campaign was so special – I don't want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself."

The gig isn't a bad start for James, considering she'll succeed Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne who are the current faces of the fragrance line. "I have admired her work for quite some time and was bowled over by her wonderful charm and her warmth when we met," CEO Christopher Bailey said in a statement, "So it was a treat to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this shoot together."

Bailey created the My Burberry line as an homage to the Burberry Heritage Trench Coat and the post-storm scents one might wear it in. The latest instalment, My Burberry Black, is a mix of peach, jasmine, vanilla and candied rose—sweet and charming like James herself.
