We sat down with model Suki Waterhouse to discover the best tips and tricks she has picked up throughout her career. From the one thing she never leaves the house without to the strange beauty tip she shares with her best friends, discover her approach to skincare, make-up and wellbeing below.
My skincare saviour is…
“My skincare saviour is Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil by Laura Mercier, which can go on both your face and body. When I’m travelling, I use Weleda Skin Food and I also love putting on those hand mitts when you’re on a plane – you go to sleep and just wake up feeling like a goddess with these soft hands. It’s fantastic. I really just love anything that has a really lovely smell to it, which the rose oil particularly does. And new products out right now that I love? Tata Harper stuff, they’ve got some really nice oils.”
“The Fresco Eyeshadow from Laura Mercier because I am super into not having too much stuff on me. I would so much prefer to just carry one thing, maybe not even a brush and then I’ll just use my finger and put in on my eyes and on my cheeks. It’s not like a blusher, it’s almost like a contour. I also like using a bronzer on my eye because they’re quite earthy and neutral, I can use them everywhere so it’s more of a natural thing going on.”
The beauty tip I give my friends is…
“OK, I’ve got a weird one. You shouldn’t do this too often, but if you really need a quick fix, mix a tiny bit of baking soda into your moisturiser and then you mush it all in and wash it off. So if you haven’t got a lot around, it’s great. I don’t do it very often at all, maybe once a month?
“Also, I absolutely always carry tweezers with me, otherwise I have complete anxiety, just in case there’s anything that needs plucking. And a razor, of course!
“And finally, go on lots of walks. Around 7pm, just go for a chat and a walk with your best friend. It’s so good for wellbeing. There’s so many benefits to it, it’s like meditation, but you also get to have a bit of a gossip on the go.”

My favourite fragrance tip is…
“I’m not actually a massive fragrance person. I do use Ferragamo fragrances, but I also quite like just bathing in essentials oils or Epsom salts – and then you just smell absolutely gorgeous when you get out. I also quite like dabbing an essential oil onto my face or mixing it into my face cream (maybe something that’s a bit invigorating) and then you just smell lovely too.
“I’ve also got these cool little Focus aromatherapy roller ball things, which are amazing, you just smell them and feel great. I also love altitude oils, they make me feel like I’m not jet-lagged when I definitely am. And also I love to spray lavender on my pillowcase wherever I am sleeping – and then you start associating a certain smell with sleep which is helpful, anything that makes you think about bedtime is really relaxing.”
The health advice I live by is…
“I’ve become a bit of a granny recently in the sense that I really limit and choose my moments when I drink. I just find it slows everything down. It’s just sort of knowing yourself and knowing your limits. I know that I can’t work, travel and do everything that I want to do and also drink all the time. So I really pick my moments and make sure I am in the perfect scenario and have some me time. I don’t like it when I feel like the night didn’t deserve me drinking.”
My wellbeing tip is…
“The moments for me that really keep my wellbeing up is anything to do with love and connection with my family and friends. So going on holiday with someone you love or, for example, having my brother come over last night and watching movies and getting room service. I don’t think that wellbeing can really come from anything else. Success for me is really based on what your relationships are like. Knowing your limitations and what fragments you is important. And introspection is the most important part of wellbeing – really figuring out where you have come from and what affects the way you act. I think everyone realises when they do get things that they want, externally, but if you don’t have an internal match up going on, then you’re really going to struggle to feel happy.”
