Neon Green Eyeshadow Is The Latest Red Carpet Make-Up Trend We Didn’t See Coming
Here's how to tackle the trend
One of the more surprising make-up trends to turn up at fashion week, amidst a sea of 'no make-up' make-up and windswept hair, was neon green eyeshadow.
Taking a turn on the runway everywhere from Ashish in London and Prada in Milan, to Jeremy Scott across the pond in New York, super bright rainbow eyeshadow had a major moment for autumn/winter 2018.
Whether '60s Bollywood-inspired, dotted with diamanté, or graphic 3D paper eyeliner, the message was clear - eye make-up had gone big, bold and multi-coloured (with a dash of sci-fi thrown in for good measure).

And it seems the A-list are on board as well, with neon eyeshadow hitting the red carpet on no less than two famous faces in the same week. And, surprisingly, it worked on the red carpet as well as it did on the runway.
Opting for yet another bold make-up statement was Kristen Stewart, who wore neon green eyeliner at the Chanel Metiers D'Art show in Seoul.
Stewart gave her classic white Chanel shirt and black leather shorts an '80s-punk rock twist with slime coloured eyes courtesy of make-up artist Beau Nelson, masses of padlock chain necklaces and a mismatched yellow and pink manicure.

Donning statement lime green eyeshadow for the Netflix Rebels And Rulebreakers Panel, Alison Brie upped the ante on her little black dress with a punk twist colour pop. The Glow actress captioned an Instagram of the '80s-inspired look, "Went a little punk rock for today’s @netflix #FYsee REBELS & RULEBREAKERS panel...and I fucking LOVE it!! Following in Brie's green footsteps was actress Morena Baccarin who wore a bright emerald eye at this week's Deadpool 2 premiere. Baccarin turned to make-up artist Matin who used Kat Von D products to create the comic book style make-up look.

The key to looking like an AW18 muse rather than The Mask? Keep the colour on your top lids only. Both Brie and Baccarin opted for rounded, one tone colour on their top lid with clean lower lids and no mascara on the lower lashes whatsoever.
Rule number two: Keep the rest of your face fresh and simple. When you're wearing swatches of green paint on your eyelids, bring the contouring down and leave lips bare. Eyes or lips works in this case.
