Introducing LIBRE L’Eau Nue Perfume, YSL Beauty’s First Alcohol-free Fragrance

The citrus floral fragrance is the latest and most innovative instalment of YSL Beauty’s LIBRE collection, with an all-new alcohol-free formula that transports the wearer to a summer oasis and pop icon Dua Lipa as the face of the campaign.

To celebrate the launch of the scent of the summer, YSL Beauty took us on a journey (literally), curating an unforgettable getaway to the sunny coast of Desaru Island, a destination that mirrored the fragrance’s spirit. Think golden hour light, glowing skin and sweet-floral smells, all wrapped in the signature YSL allure. We also experienced an exclusive fragrance workshop conducted by YSL’s very own experts to give us more insight into what makes LIBRE L’Eau Nue so unique.

The Notes

LIBRE L’Eau Nue is infused with refreshing notes that feel both radiant and refined. The scent opens with the zesty freshness of green mandarin and bergamot, a citrusy burst that invigorates your senses. At its heart is LIBRE’s signature lavender and orange blossom infusion, which shines through from the first spray and lasts till the end of the day. These refreshing notes work in tandem to create a summertime olfactory experience like no other.

The oil-in-water formula

What sets LIBRE L’Eau Nue apart is its innovative oil-in-water formula, developed over two years. Enriched with the exclusive Moroccan orange blossom extract, which was inspired by Moroccan beauty rituals and sourced from YSL’s Ourika Community Garden, the result is a non-sticky, lightweight mist. The combination of rich essential oils suspended in a water base brings out the radiance of the citrus and floral notes and provides longevity, without leaving an uncomfortable residue.

Thanks to the unique alcohol-free formulation, YSL LIBRE L’eau Nue is suitable even for sensitive skin, and has transformed the way one can interact with the fragrance. The campaign

Music It girl Dua Lipa has been the muse of YSL Beauty LIBRE since 2019; embodying the sultry, confident, cool girl edge that YSL LIBRE is all about. Set against a scenic Mediterranean seaside backdrop, she returns as the face of the new fragrance.

In addition to the LIBRE line, Dua Lipa is also the face of YSL Beauty’s new Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss. Its 95 percent oil-infused formula with hyaluronic acid, ginger oil, and fig pulp promises a plumper pout, 24-hour hydration and a non-sticky, ultra-juicy shine—the perfect summer companion to YSL LIBRE L’Eau Nue.
