Dior Perfume-Creator François Demachy takes us on his journey to find the purest scents from around the world
When it comes to the art and science of creating perfumes, only the purest essences can evoke an emotion and that is exactly what Dior's Perfume-Creator François Demachy seeks to inspire with his fragrances. This brings us to Dior's new webseries, which transports its viewers onto Demachy's voyages to find that perfect, elusive, evocative scent: From the vast expanses of Grasse, where the beautiful May Rose is grown, to the verdant mountains of Calabria to harvest fresh bergamot, and to the lush green jasmine terraces of India, where the sweet-smelling bloom is gathered.
"To create a fragrance, you need to embark on a search for the most beautiful flowers and the finest raw materials. You need to explore the rare terroirs shaped by the hand of expert craftsmen. Then, enriched by these experiences, you return where everything is created," says Demachy.
