Critics' Choice Awards 2020

Two ceremonies into awards season and we can confirm that the pink make-up trend isn't going anywhere for 2020.

At the Critics' Choice Awards last night the likes of Zendaya, Kate Beckinsale and Saoirse Ronan all chose pink with their palette, a look Ronan also favoured at last week's Golden Globes, alongside Margot Robbie and Cate Blanchett. Together they demonstrate the versatility of the trend, proving it flatters a range of skin tones and ages.

Zendaya, in her striking Tom Ford ensemble, matched her make-up to her outfit with hot pink eyeshadow applied to her top and bottom eyelids. The Euphoria actress has been known to do her own make-up for the red carpet, and didn't suggest otherwise on Instagram, where she credited Kim Kimble, Hollywood's specialist in hair extensions, wigs and weaves, for her beautiful braided style. Whether it was Zendaya's own handiwork or not, for a similar look, try the Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Neon Pink.

True to her signature style, Ronan's take on the trend was softer, and perfectly complemented her romantic hand-embroidered Erdem gown. Make-up artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua used Chanel's new long-wear liquid eyeshadow, the Ombre Première Laque in No 26 Rose Quartz on her eyelids, paired with the bright classic red Chanel Rouge Spectaculaire No 837 on the lips.

Beckinsale went for a monotone make-up look; with pink on the eyes, cheeks and lips. Celebrity make-up artist Rob Scheppy used Armani Beauty products on the actress who looked as glamorous as ever.

Try the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Stellar Eye Shadow in 05 and the Lip Maestro in 500 for a similar finish.
