Is there anything that Bad Gal Riri can’t do? The singer is already balancing a gig as the creative director of Puma, her own beauty line, an upcoming movie role and her forthcoming studio album, ANTI—but she’s not stopping there. THR reports that Rihanna quietly started her own styling, hair and makeup agency with managing partner Benoit Demouy. Named Fr8me, the LA-based agency will style artists for booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns and red-carpet appearances.
And Fr8me is already lining up a talented staff including Rihanna’s makeup artist Mylah Morales, wardrobe stylist Jason Bolden (whose clients include the likes of Taraji P. Hensson) and celebrity hair stylists Marcia Hamilton and Patricia Morales. The agency is moving forward with a social media driven strategy. Demouy revealed, “The industry’s changed so much — rates have gone down, and clients just grab images off social media, trying to bypass paying artists. But we’re concerned with social media, too — we’ll take a makeup artist with 500,000 followers over someone else.”
No word yet on which celebrity clients the agency plans to work with but we’d take a styling session curated by Bad Gal Riri any day.
