This Heartbreaking Video Shows The Struggle Of Being A Single Woman In China

SK-II follows these single women in China as they stand up against societal pressures to earn respect and understanding.

Warning: Grab some tissues if you're feeling emotionally vulnerable.

As part of SK-II's #changedestiny movement, this short film uncovers the stories of several strong, independent women who struggle to earn their families' and society's understanding and respect, simply for being single. Though seemingly trivial, let's not forget that in China, if you're a single woman above the age of 25, society commonly labels you as a "leftover woman". And despite having a fulfilling career, family members and the society in general often harbour the misconception that a woman's life is incomplete if she's not married.

We love that this film chronicles these women's challenges and heart-wrenching tales as they refuse to settle just to conform to society's expectations. Totally #girlpower.
