Skin Decoded: Sulwhasoo Brings Its Ginseng-Powered Skincare Rituals To Life At This Exclusive Pop-Up
For one week only, the K-beauty brand takes over Metro Paragon’s Minimuse concept space with an interactive skincare journey, exclusive samples and gifts worth coming back for.
Knowing which luxury skincare product deserves a place in your routine often comes down to one thing: trying it for yourself.
From now until May 17, Sulwhasoo is making that experience more immersive with an exclusive pop-up event at Metro Paragon. The storied K-beauty house is taking over Minimuse—Metro Paragon’s paid sampling concept—marking the first full-brand takeover since the space launched in November last year.
Designed for beauty lovers who prefer to try before they commit, Minimuse brings together perfumes, skincare and makeup from over 20 luxury brands, letting visitors explore textures, scents and formulas at their own pace.
For Sulwhasoo’s takeover, that sampling experience is reimagined through an interactive skincare journey that brings the brand’s ginseng-powered formulas and beauty rituals into a more hands-on setting.
For anyone curious about the brand or simply looking to refine their current routine, the pop-up is less about browsing from shelf to shelf and more about learning what your skin may need next.
From now till May 17, Sulwhasoo takes over Minimuse at Metro Paragon for a week of ginseng-powered skincare and guided rituals.
Designed as a self-exploratory journey, the space features different zones that visitors can move through at their own pace, with question cards and interactive games to help you decode your skin type, and discover Sulwhasoo products that may suit your skin concerns.
Along the way, stop for a photo booth moment and collect stamps on a stamp card. Complete the experience and receive a complimentary Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Eye Serum (4ml).
If you want a more personalised read on your skin, skin analysis and consultation services are available at the Sulwhasoo beauty counter on Level 2.
How the sampling experience works
Start by selecting from one of three tiers, which entitles you to choose and bag your preferred samples, as well as receive a return voucher to put towards future purchases:
- Begin starts at $35 for three samples and a $25 return voucher
- Glow is priced at $45 for four samples and a $35 return voucher
- Shine is priced at $55 for five samples and a $45 return voucher.
For the Sulwhasoo takeover, each tier unlocks an exclusive assortment of Sulwhasoo samples. Those on the Shine tier will also receive a Gori Knot keychain, exclusively created in collaboration with Sulwhasoo.
The K-beauty brand’s best-selling formulas will be on display at the pop-up.
A new way to discover beauty and lifestyle
The takeover is part of Metro’s broader “House of Concepts” vision, which reimagines the department store as a place for discovery, ritual and lifestyle-led experiences rather than traditional retail categories.
In addition to Minimuse, there is also SLEEPLAB, which brings together wearable technology, bedding, scents and lighting into a space shaped around the ritual of sleep. Meanwhile, the revamped Accessory Lounge applies that same spirit of discovery to everyday styling.
At Metro, visitors can also explore a curated line-up of Korean lifestyle brands, including JAJU, often referred to as South Korea’s national pyjamas brand and available exclusively at Metro; Choi Moon, a flower atelier with an haute couture sensibility; Sweetch, known for bags designed with sleek urban simplicity in mind; and Lumena, an award-winning minimalist home decor brand.
Specially for CIMB bank cardholders:
Spend $200 and enjoy a $10 Metro gift voucher, or spend $500 to enjoy a $50 Metro gift voucher. Vouchers can be used storewide (not just at Minimuse) and the promotion is valid from now till June 6, 2026. While stocks last.
The Sulwhasoo Takeover at Minimuse runs from May 11 to 17, 2026, at Minimuse, Metro Paragon Level 2 from 10am to 9pm daily.
