Now that Harry is off the market

Don't get me wrong, we're super excited about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement. But it does rather quash my tiny but powerful daydreams about, you know, running into Harry at a polo match, making him fall in love with me, and before you know it, I'm the QUEEN! Of ENGLAND!!!!!!! Sorry, what was I saying?

Honestly, I'm so happy for the blissed-out couple. But for all the rest of us hoping for a royally romantic end to the daily grind, Harry's engagement means that the pool of eligible royal men has dwindled somewhat. Plus, it was never very big to begin with. Prince Amedeo of Belgium? Taken. Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland? Off the market. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark? Long wedded. What about Adriana Lima's ex, Prince Wenzeslaus of Liechtenstein? All sewn up, I'm afraid.

Who's left? Here are five princes who'll fit nicely into your personal rom-com.

1. Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah of Jordan

Prince Hussein

The 23-year-old son of King Abdullah (also pictured here) and Queen Rania isn't just royalty—he's also an Instagram star with no fewer than 1.1 million followers. Prince Hussein posts snaps of himself with pals like Angela Merkel or indulging in "football"—a.k.a soccer. You know, casual. As his father's heir apparent, he's likely to be king one day—not that that's a reason to find someone interesting. At all.

2. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai

Wait a minute, wait a minute. I spoke too soon about Instagram stars—Dubai's Crown Prince, also known as Fazza, has a cool 5.9 million followers peeping his every move on the social media platform. He may be an accomplished horseman with several competition titles to his name, but the 35-year-old is also into falconry, cave diving, cycling, and—OMG—poetry. It's an eclectic combination that appeals to many, judging from the plethora of fansites out there.

3. Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg

Or should I say His Royal Highness Prince Sébastien Henri Marie Guillaume, Prince of Luxembourg, Prince of Nassau and of Bourbon-Parma (delicious!)? But I'm sure he'll let you use just one or two names once you get to know him. Here he is with his sister, Princess Alexandra. The 25-year-old is an officer of the Luxembourg Army and, as the youngest of five siblings, probably won't ever be the king. Which is great! Leaves plenty more time for his rather active hobbies of climbing, skiing, swimming, and rugby. If you're worried about not being able to locate his home country—one of the world's smallest—on a map, don't worry too much: Sébastien "enjoys discovering new cultures," and I'm sure he'll cut you some slack if you just show you're making an effort, you know?

4. Prince Jean Christophe Napoléon Bonaparte

Prince Jean

Yes, literally Napoléon Bonaparte! Or, at least, a descendant thereof: The 31-year-old, pictured here with his father Prince Charles Bonaparte, is the great-great-great-great-nephew of his famous namesake. Those among you who paid attention in high-school history might know that the French monarchy was abolished in the late 18th century, but some in the French nation recognize Jean as a member of what's called the Imperial House based on his lineage. So he's basically, like, an emperor. Also, not something Napoléon himself probably envisioned for his scions, but Jean has a LinkedIn page—as does every self-respecting private equity professional! Do you have any mutual connections? Why not send His Imperial Highness an InMail?

5. Prince Joachim of Belgium

Prince Joachim

This prince isn't likely to sit on his country's throne either; his cousin, Princess Elisabeth, is the eldest daughter of Belgium's King Philippe and is first in the line of succession. Rather, this seafaring royal has taken his place in the Belgian Navy—which makes sense, since he's a wandering Sagittarian. (He was educated in England and Italy, naturally.) So if you end up next to him at a state dinner some enchanted evening, keep it nautical! Aren't octopi just fascinating?

6. Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei

Of course, let's not forget our Asian royalty! One of the hottest bachelors currently being none other than Prince Abdul Mateen who received an enormous amount of fangirl screams when he attended the SEA Games this year. As the 10th child of Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei, this 26-year-old has a long way to the throne. However, that part is secondary to his boyish good looks, athletic physique and did we mention that he pilots jets, plays guitar and loves cats? Possibly the ultimate ladies' kryptonite, this handsome prince has an Instagram account that is skyrocketing in followers, now at 723K and growing.

Psst! We heard that he is still single and looking for a princess-to-be. So if you are looking for your own fairy-tale ending, Prince Mateen might be the one.
