Background
The Thai actress’ full name is Chanikarn Tangkabodee, though she’s also known as Prim, or sometimes affectionately as ‘Primiily’, which is her Instagram handle.
Prim was born on 20 February 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand, and is of Chinese descent.
She graduated from SatitChula (Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School) in 2022 and is currently pursuing a degree from Chulalongkorn University under the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.

Debut
The actress debuted at age 10, with Chiang Khan Story in 2014. In the show, she acted as the younger version of Paeng—the female lead who’s acting as a film actress. Prim starred alongside Mac Nattapat Nimjirawat as child actors.
Currently, Prim is being represented by GMMTV, a major Thai talent production and talent agent company, which also houses standout actors such as Dew Jirawat Sutivanichsak, Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, and Tu Tontawan Tantivejakul.
Notable works
Some of her most popular works include The Gifted: Graduation (2020), F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021–2022), and Enigma (2023), ‘A Love So Beautiful’.
In June of 2024, the first episode of the Thai version of A Love So Beautiful aired, starring Prim and Dew Jirawat as the leads. The story is based on the novel To Our Pure Little Beauty by Zhao Qianqian, and has been adapted into a Chinese and Korean version as well.
In another flawless pairing, Prim acted alongside Win Metawin in Enigma, a 2023 horror series. Prim took on the role of a student called Fa, who notices that the strange things happening in are somehow linked to a new teacher, Ajin, who’s played by Win.
This cult classic is not to be missed. F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers has brought together the most promising Thai actors, and it seems Prim is one of them. Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree, Tu Tontawan, Nani Hirunkit Changkham, as well as Win and Dew, were part of the cast in this riveting remake of the show.
Last but not least, Prim also acted in The Gifted: Graduation, a Thai series about a group of special students who were selected for an exclusive programme that helped them develop their supernatural abilities.
Star-studded pairings
Prim has always had great chemistry with her acting partners, and even more so with two leading men in particular, Win Metawin and Dew Jirawat.
Her ties with the two actors started from F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. In the show, Prim acted in a supporting role as Kaning, who was romantically matched with Kavin, played by Win. The pair later reunited in Enigma; #WinPrim fans.
Also in F4 Thailand, Dew Jirawat played the second lead, Ren, whose love interest is Gorya (Tu Tontawan). Unfortunately for him, the fate of the second lead is one of heartbreak. However, Dew reunited with his co-star Prim in A Love So Beautiful, and—spoiler alert—got his happy ending.
Awards
In recognition of her acting, Prim clinched the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role during the 27th Asian Television Awards for her role in F4 Thailand. Besides that, the superstar-in-the-making was nominated for her work in Enigma, for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the 28th Asian Television Awards, as well as the 2023 Nataraja Awards.
She can sing and dance
The multitalented actress is also able to carry a tune and pull a few moves on stage for her fans. She performed during Win’s Holidate Fancon, as well as the multi-day event titled GF Run The World Concert.
She boulders
On her days off, Prim engages in different forms of activities. While she frequently posts her gym days, she’s also into climbing and seems to scale the walls skilfully on her own.
