Alessandro Michele And Gucci Present The No Longer / Not Yet Exhibition In Shanghai
Seven artists from different fields join Alessandro Michele in search of the perpetually new and now

In fashion, one minute you’re in and the next, you’re out. This rings most true for designers who gamble with the possibilities of creating something “passe” or “too soon” every season, what with having to design and show sartorial collections at least six months before they actually hit the stores. It is a constant quest for the contemporary. This concept of “now-ness” is what Gucci’s No Longer / Not Yet exhibition is based upon. Curated by the brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele and Love magazine’s Katie Grand, the exhibition quizzes both visitors (like Tina Leung, Liu Wen and special performer Leah Dou) and the seven featured artists on “What is Contemporary?” The result? Everything from an installation with a chicken riding a robot vacuum to a scarlet room filled with painted portraits.
No Longer / Not Yet will be held at the Minsheng Art Museum, Shanghai till 16 December 2015.
