Ariana Grande's New Man Ethan Slater Revealed Romance To His Wife 'Days' Before News Broke

The world was shook after multiple sources dropped the bombshell last week that Ariana Grande is now dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, not long after breaking things off with her now-ex, Dalton Gomez.

Well, according to Us Weekly, Slater also broke the news to his now-ex just a few days before the public found out on 20 July. A source told the publication that Slater told his estranged wife, Lilly Jay, about his relationship with Grande and then asked for a divorce. The source further claimed, "Lilly never saw it coming!"
Another source stressed that the two "were separated when they started dating and the relationship is recent. It’s understandable that it’s difficult to see an ex move on, especially in such a public way, and they are trying to be as respectful as possible," while also adding that "Ariana and Ethan weren’t careful. They’d hold hands on set in between takes. They were sloppy and not hiding it."

While Grande and Gomez reportedly broke up as early as January, with the latter also seeing other people, Slater celebrated Jay as recently as Mother’s Day, writing on Instagram, "Happy first Mother’s Day, to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world, from me and this little guy."
