Billie Eilish is facing criticism on social media about her recent style evolution, and she has taken to her personal Instagram account to respond to the haters.
Fans of the musical artist who have followed her since she started to release music as a young teen are well aware of how her fashion sense has evolved over the years, from baggy, oversized clothing and bright, vibrant hair colours to more glamorous and fitted outfits which play up her feminine charm.

Yet, being in the constant spotlight since becoming famous hasn't always been a good thing, and there are some fans out there who seem to take issue with Eilish's change in fashion choices.
In a recent series of Instagram stories, Eilish decided to confront these critics directly, writing, "I spent the first five years of my career getting absolutely OBLITERATED by you fools for being boyish and dressing how I did and constantly being told I'd be hotter if I acted like a woman."

The young singer has previously mentioned she originally chose to dress exclusively in oversized clothes to avoid public conversation about her body. Yet a shoot for British Vogue when Eilish was 21 - which showed the singer embracing her figure in form-fitting fashion - prompted plenty of criticism.

Her Instagram stories continued to address these issues. "And now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I CHANGED and am a sellout...and 'what happened to her.' oMG iT's nOt thE sAmE biLlie she's just like the rest, bla blah. You guys are true idiots. LOL. I can be both you fucking bozos. LET WOMEN EXIST!"
