Elle Fanning brought the party-girl energy to Chanel’s Cruise 2023–24 runway show last night.

The actor and Chanel ambassador made an entrance at the event, held in Los Angeles’s Paramount Studios, in a sparkling all-black suit look.

The suit was made up of a shimmering tweed blazer in a painterly white floral print, and super-high-waisted pants entirely covered in sequins and featuring a silky strap at the top. She layered the blazer over a dainty black-and-silver top with a single button, and no bra underneath.

Fanning finished the dazzling, monochromatic party look with leather heeled boots and a mini quilted leather Chanel purse with a chain strap. Apart from a black winged liner, she wore minimal makeup, and she had her hair down in a straight blowout.

Other Chanel ambassadors, including Kristen Stewart, Marion Cotillard, and Margot Robbie, supported the French fashion house at the show, as well. Also at the fête were A-listers including Sofia Richie, Paris Hilton, and Lil Nas X

Fanning paid tribute to Chanel’s late creative director Karl Lagerfeld at the Met Gala this year with her accessories. The actor wore a romantic flower crown tied around her head with black ribbons and a cropped little black jacket over her angelic white lace gown by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood. The look channeled the one she wore on her first photo shoot with Lagerfeld, when she was a young teen.

“The memory that stood out was when he photographed me for his ‘Little Black Jacket’ book. I was 13,” Fanning wrote on Instagram, explaining the meaningful ensemble. “Everyone that was pictured wore the same black Chanel jacket and although we all wore the same, Karl let our individual styles and personalities inform how the jacket should be worn. For my portrait, he decided to place a daisy crown on my head and put the jacket over the white dress I arrived in.”
