What were your first impressions of each other?
Bonnie: For me, it’s how chill she is. Emi can make everywhere feel like home. I’m really impressed by this because I don’t think everyone has the ability to make themselves feel relaxed in every place like she does. So, I really feel like she’s such an interesting person. Emi has the courage to be herself—she has the courage to speak and show how she feels. Ever since I met her, her relaxed demeanour has always put me at ease.
Emi: As for Bonnie, it is how she’s so natural, pure and uncontrived. Whether it’s in her acting or whether she’s her true self, her personality makes me feel like I can relax with her. I may not be this way with everyone, but she’s very natural with me, so I feel at ease with her.
What is something you’ve learned from each other?
Emi: What have we learned from each other? I don’t feel like we have to learn anything from each other. In the sense that I think it may be because we both are truly ourselves, there is no need to adjust to each other much—we’re just ourselves.
Bonnie: When we are together, I feel that we don’t have to adjust much. It’s chill. I get a lot of knowledge from Emi.
Emi: For me, I got to learn more about Gen Z. She stays updated on TikTok, so she knows what’s trending, and she knows all the slang they use. She keeps me updated on Gen Zs and trends.
What is something you love to do together?
Emi: We love to work. I love my job and I really like to work and I feel excited about it. We like to work together and I want to sing together as well.
Bonnie: Yes, we love to work, and I love my job. We like to work together so it doesn’t feel lonely. I wanted to answer that we like to go eat together but we eat different things.

Do you have special nicknames for each other?
Emi: Nicknames? Not really I just call her Bonnie.
Bonnie: I call her P’Mi (sister Mi), but no one else can say that! Others have to call her Emi, only I can use that name!
What has been your favourite on-set memory that fans would be surprised to hear about?
Emi: For me, at the time I felt quite sad and quite down from the role I was playing. My mind couldn’t take it. But a memory I clearly remember is, when I was sad, I had Bonnie by my side and I didn’t even realise when she was there.
Bonnie: I was like her mental therapist. On-set, Emi had this dark aura all the time, because her role was quite challenging and she pressured herself. My first impression of Emi is that she’s talkative and chill, but she was quiet on-set, like a completely different person. So I felt like, “Omg I need to bring my Emi back.”
Emi: Yeah, people would be perplexed about what [was] up with me today. At that time, we weren’t very close yet, but she was always taking care of me and asking if I’m alright. That’s always the first memory on-set that pops in my head whenever anyone asks. It’s having Bonnie on-set with me.
Bonnie: I see her and want to take care of her. So there are moments where I pay a lot of attention to her on-set.
Do you have a message for your fans?
Emi: Wow, I have so much to say. I want to thank all our fans who have watched our series, who’ve enjoyed it and who follow our day-to-day life as well. I really appreciate all the support in everything. I feel like my life is more happy when I do something and there is always someone supporting me. Thank you so much for all your support. We see everything, And when everyone is happy, we’re happy too.
Bonnie: I also want to thank the fans who have supported us—who have sent us encouragement for every job or event, who push us into trends, post tags or send cute messages. We do keep tabs. This immense encouragement really gives us the strength to keep working
What are you most looking forward to doing in Singapore?
Bonnie: I want to go check-in at landmarks like the Merlion. It makes me feel like I’m really in Singapore.
Emi: I want to go check it out too. I want to try catching water from the Merlion, so it feels like I’m really here in Singapore.
