Not long ago, Engfa Waraha was best known in Thailand for her pageant crown. Now, she’s known all around the world for her buzzy hit dramas alongside co-star Charlotte Austin, with box office hits and sold-out fan meets worldwide. The 31-year-old star seems to have lived multiple lives—as a budding singer on a competition show, a front-runner at global beauty pageants and one of the most talked-about actresses in the region. 1. She is Starring in Her Biggest Project Yet

The 4 Elements series is arguably the most anticipated one of the year, starring four female duos: Engfa and Charlotte, Freen Sarocha Chankimha and Becky Patricia Armstrong, Apple Lapisara Intarasut and Mim Panthita Jencharoentham and, last but not least, Milin Watinthanakit and Noey Kanteera Wadcharathadsanakul. Did someone say crossover? Each of their four stories—The Earth, The Water, The Air and The Fire—will all be interconnected, and each duo will play supporting roles in each other’s drama.

In The Water, Engfa plays Apo, a wealthy hotel heiress whose seemingly perfect world is disrupted by Lada, played by Charlotte, a new receptionist who is an undercover spy. The show is set to premiere on 21 March 2026 and will be available to stream on iQiYi.

2. She Will Be Starring in a Movie Alongside Apo Nattawin, Freen Sarocha and Jespipat Tilapornputt

It’s giving star-studded! For The Stain, Engfa has joined forces with Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat, Freen Sarocha and Jespipat Tilapornputt to give the ultimate psychological horror-romance performance. For this project, Engfa plays Malee, one of the leads, who comes with a dark, mysterious past that unfolds after she meets a wholesome botanist and tea expert, Pran, played by Apo.

3. She Made Her Acting Debut in 2023

She made her TV debut in 2023 with the hit drama Show Me Love. The nine-episode mini-series follows the story of Meena (Engfa), a small town girl who moves to Bangkok to chase her dream, only to be dragged into entering a beauty pageant by a compelling talent recruiter, Cherine (Charlotte).

4. Engfa and Charlotte Austin are the Ultimate Power Duo

The world got their first glimpse of Engfa and Charlotte in Show Me Love (2023) and since then, the pair has become one of the most beloved duos in the Thai entertainment space. After all, the series was especially viral due to Engfa and Charlotte’s real-life lore as former Miss Grand Thailand contestants and, of course, their undeniable chemistry. Thanks to the success of Show Me Love, the series marked the start of “#Englot”, a new fan favourite pairing. Go girls, give us everything!

5. She’s an Award-winning Actress

The 2024 film The Paradise of Thorns was a huge moment in her career. Not only was it her film debut, it also won her an award for Best Actress of the Year award at the 2025 Thailand Box Office Awards and broke the 150M baht box office record. The romance-drama stars Engfa as the leading lady and actor-turned-singer, Jeff Satur, telling a story of a woman who becomes entangled in a dangerous web of lies, love and betrayal.

6. She is a Former Beauty Queen

Before becoming a screen queen, Engfa was a beauty queen. She rose to fame locally in 2022 after clinching the title of Miss Grand Thiland 2022 as Miss Bangkok. Later that year, she represented her entire country on the global stage at Miss Grand International and placed as first runner-up. Yes queen! (literally) Fun fact: Engfa’s co-star Charlotte Austin also participated in Miss Grand Thailand in 2022 representing Phuket, and she finished as the fifth runner-up.

7. She Started Out as a Singer

Before Engfa found her love for beauty pageants and acting, singing was Engfa’s main beat. Having grown up in a musical home, with her father, a keyboard player, and her mother a country singer, she was destined for the stage. The public first saw her on the seventh season of The Voice Thailand in 2018 and she made it past the knockout rounds before withdrawing shortly after. Little did we know that it was just a small peek at the star power that was yet to come.
