Hailey Bieber Contrasts Her Tweed Power Suit With A Plunging Leather Halter Top

With the advent of New York Fashion Week, the stars are bringing out the best of the best of their wardrobe—East Coast heat wave be damned. In her latest look, Hailey Bieber made the case for the power suit, even if it means strutting the look in over 90-degree temperatures.

The Rhode founder posted photos of her ensemble to her Instagram story yesterday. The head-to-toe Saint Laurent look consisted of an oversize tweed blazer in a beige, brown, and black checkered pattern, plus a matching midi pencil skirt. The blazer featured strong, structured shoulders, reminiscent of details found in power suits of the 1980s.

She layered the outerwear over a tight black leather halter top with a plunging V-neckline. To finish the look off, she added dark brown patent leather slingback heels, a skinny black leather belt with a gold buckle, a light brown shoulder bag, and a pair of shiny gold hoop earrings.

As fans of her street style probably know, the model’s affinity for oversize outerwear is well documented.

Last month, she once again layered with a slouchy oversized jacket—this time, a collared black leather coat—which she wore over a dainty ivory minidress. She coordinated with more black pieces, including narrow shades and a pair of heeled square-toe loafers.

“I get photographed so much that I feel like sometimes I put pressure on myself,” Bieber said in an interview for Bazaar’s September 2022 cover story. “Even if I’m just throwing on jeans and a T-shirt, I want it to be a dope pair of jeans and a great T-shirt!”
