Red-carpet fashion is officially back, thanks in no small part to Hunter Schafer and her stylist, Dara Allen.

Now that SAG-AFTRA has officially called off the Hollywood actors strike, we can finally expect to see glamour return to the hallowed carpeted halls of movie premieres, film festivals, and award shows. Schafer is already leading the way back, as she churns out one designer look after another for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes press tour.

Opposite costars Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler, Schafer plays Tigris Snow in the new Hunger Games prequel film adaptation. And Schafer and Allen, who also serves as Interview’s fashion director, have deftly curated a press tour wardrobe that combines the best of recent runway showstoppers with subtle nods to motifs from The Hunger Games universe.

Ahead, Bazaar rounded up all of Schafer’s major looks from the Songbirds & Snakes press tour. Expect to see Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake, and so much more.

Schafer made a rousing return to the red carpet in Berlin at the first Songbirds & Snakes premiere, where she wore an artful long-sleeved dress straight from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture collection. The piece featured fragmented hand-painted pieces, held together by a white crochet base. She topped off the look with white Manolo Blahnik pumps.

For Songbirds and Snakes’ world premiere in London, Schafer pulled out all the stops in a magnificent crinkled gold set. The custom-made ensemble, inspired by a similar look seen on Prada’s Spring/Summer 2009 runway, featured a halter-neck bustier with off-the-shoulder sleeves, a long maxi skirt with a bubble peplum detail, and long black bow adornments.

She continued her fashion streak at the Los Angeles premiere, where she showed up in a twinkling silver Alexander McQueen gown covered in cutouts, crystals, tulle, and sequined fringe. Her footwear upped the ante, too, with the actor stepping out in sequined black mesh booties.

She went full Effie Trinket–core during a New York screening of the film. The Capitol-esque look consisted of a sculptural Marni minidress with bright pink and crimson 3-D flowers protruding out from long thin wires. While the dress made a bold fashion statement on its own, Schafer kept things classic with her shoes via white Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Even off the red carpet, Schafer is still bringing her sartorial A game.

For a panel conversation in New York City, she wore an elegant black suit from Carolina Herrera. The floral gold brooch pinned to her blazer nodded at two major Hunger Games references: Katniss Everdeen’s golden mockingjay pin and President Snow’s affinity for roses.

That same day, she made a guest appearance at Good Morning America, where she wore a more colourful look, courtesy of Issey Miyake. The bright sea-green outfit included an asymmetric top and skirt with swirling white stripes.
