Taylor Swift is back in the celebrity gossip machine after rumours of a new romance between her and singer Matty Healy emerged just weeks after her highly-publicised breakup with actor Joe Alwyn. And now, another Joe from Swift's past has gone on the record to discuss his former relationship with the pop sensation.

Swift's recent re-record of her hit 2008 album, Fearless, featured bonus "From The Vault" songs about Joe Jonas, but the singer was thankfully spared by their initial release - "Mr. Perfectly Fine" and "You All Over Me," which were written at the time of their romance, didn't make the original cut. Now that those tracks have been released over a decade after their breakup, the Jonas Brothers singer was able to speak candidly about his current relationship with the famous singer in an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard.

"I'm cool with Taylor," Jonas said, adding, "We're cool." In the episode Jonas expressed his hope that Swift’s fans have forgiven him for the now-infamous 25-second breakup call which first enraged Swifties everywhere. "I hope to think they like me. No one f*cks with the Swifties, you know?"

Fans recently went after one of Swift's other exes, Jake Gyllenhaal, after the pop star dropped the ten-minute version of her hit song "All Too Well," which she reportedly wrote about the American actor. But Jonas seems to recognise where Swifties are coming from. "We don’t really have a nickname for [our fans] but … we get it," Jonas acknowledged. "We understand they’re passionate about their artists and protective, like, 'This is my artist, how dare you!'"

The two definitely seem to be on better terms now, with Swift telling talk show host Ellen DeGeneres back in 2019 that her and Jonas now laugh about how she put him "on blast" on DeGeneres' show as a teenager. "That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18... That was mouthy, yeah, teenage stuff there."

In response, Jonas mentioned on ITV's Lorraine Show that, "It’s something that I probably was feeling pretty bad about when I was younger, but at the end of the day, like I’ve moved on. I’m sure Taylor’s moved on, and it feels nice, and we’re all friends, and it’s all good. We were so young."
