Katie Holmes Proves You Can Pair Your Button-Down With Sweatpants

Katie Holmes is perfecting lazy-girl dressing one outfit at a time.

This week, the Rare Objects director stepped out in New York City in a loose light-blue button-down, which she wore over a gray tank and unexpectedly paired with cozy white sweatpants from Alo. To finish the look, she opted for black Adidas Samba sneakers, a black leather tote bag, large round sunglasses in a dark brown, and dainty gold jewelry. She seemed to wear no makeup and had her freshly washed hair down.

Holmes has been incorporating athleisure into her wardrobe more and more these days, and is regularly pictured walking around the city in her favorite Alo sweats and Adidas Sambas.

Last month, the actor and director was seen out in Manhattan in a casual workout outfit composed of a stringy black sports bra, comfy green sweatpants by Alo, and gray sneakers. Her entire torso was exposed in the look, revealing her super-toned abs. She accessorized the low-key ’fit included a black leather shoulder bag by Carolina Herrera, clear oval sunglasses, layers of dainty gold necklaces, and small elongated silver hoop earrings by Saskia Diez.

And back in June, Holmes stepped out for an errand run in the city wearing an oversize T-shirt in a light pink, purplish-brown sweatpants, and recycled mesh sneakers with an embroidered design in various pastel tones by Chloé. She wore long purple socks with the shoes, and tied a fuzzy tan sweater around her waist.
