Coachella 2024 has come and gone, but the good vibrations from the headlining Asian acts live on.

Notably, the Coachella 2024 lineup—consisting of over 150 artists who took over the six stages at Empire Polo Club across two weekends—featured one of the most diverse cast of global performers at the music festival to date, providing a much needed range of representation at one of the world’s buzziest events.

In the years past, Coachella has spotlighted the who’s who of regional performers—with the introduction of Joji from Japan, Rich Brian and NIKI from Indonesia and, of course, Blackpink from South Korea. This year, the music festival seems to have changed gears, featuring more up-and-coming players such as LE SSERAFIM, Number_i and The Rose.

Read on for the details of Lisa Manobal’s unexpected appearance as a concert goer, Jackson Wang’s surprise cameo onstage with 88rising, and the debut performances of K-Pop’s most promising groups at the megawatt festival.

LISA MANOBAL

The globetrotting K-Pop icon may not have performed alongside her Blackpink bandmates at Coachella this year, but she did made her way down to catch Shakira onstage with Argentinian DJ Bizarrap. And as a newly-minted ambassador of Louis Vuitton—the announcement came this past Fall/Winter ’24 season in March—Lisa naturally opted for full looks from the Maison for her music festival wardrobe.

P.S. After performing their hits ‘La Fuerte’ and ‘BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53.’, Shakira announced that she will be embarking on a world tour this November.
