LISA And Park Bo Gum Made A Splash In Bangkok For CELINE
The Korean superstars hit up the brand’s newly revamped boutique in Siam Paragon.
CELINE recently unveiled its newly revamped store at Siam Paragon in Bangkok, and two very special guests made an appearance for the occasion: Blackpink’s LISA and actor Park Bo Gum.
Lisa served up feline fierceness in a leopard-printed skirt suit, but a frilly white lace blouse added a touch of softness to the ensemble. The singer and rapper finished off her look with a pair of mid-calf flat boots and a sleek shoulder bag—both in a glossy black––that emphasised the Swinging Sixties vibe of her structured and super-short outfit.

Meanwhile, Park gave a masterclass in how to do monochromatic dressing with a twist. For a look that was equal parts classic and unconventional, he opted for a sharply tailored pinstripe blazer, which he then juxtaposed with a soft white t-shirt, skinny black leather pants, and shiny pointed-toe boots. Accessories and jewellery in black and silver tones provided a finishing touch that evoked Eighties rock-star cool.

The store was designed by Creative Director Hedi Slimane, in his signature style of cool, muted Brutalism enlivened by warmer accents. Think natural grey stone floors and black and white marble walls, punctuated by oak, brass, and antique gold mirrors. There are two lounge areas in the boutique, artfully arranged with a selection of vintage mid-century furniture and pieces designed by Slimane himself—their sculptural qualities echoing the store’s architecture.

The 310-square-metre space houses CELINE men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, and haute parfumerie. Upon walking into the space, one is immediately faced with the brand’s latest bags of the season displayed against a feature wall of black marble. To the left sits low glass cases holding small leather goods, and high ones stocking accessories like baseball caps and sunglasses. Against the far left wall are grey stone shelves with classic bag styles; further in the back, one finds exotic-skin pieces as well as CELINE haute parfumerie—the olfactory range that has recently been expanded to include body oils, bath milks and solid soaps in addition to perfume and candles. Ready-to-wear for men and women occupies the entire right section of the store, with the aforementioned lounges dividing the two. In all, the Siam Paragon boutique serves as a stunning new abode for the CELINE universe that Slimane has steadily been building.
