Matty Healy Finally Dropped Hints About His Relationship With Taylor Swift
He poked fun at the ongoing rumours during one of The 1975’s latest gigs.
Performing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend last Saturday, singer Matty Healy finally answered the question running through everyone’s minds: what's up with him and Taylor Swift?
“Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it? All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentlemen, this is The 1975,” Healy announced to the crowd before their performance.
While official details are few and far between, an insider told The Sun that The 1975 frontman and the pop icon’s relationship is progressing rapidly, with the two even considering living together.

A source revealed that the two are making their relationship work despite their different schedules. “He and Taylor are so loved up and want to spend as much time together as they can,” the source said, continuing, “Matty has already told the 1975 team that he’ll be doing all the band demos in America for the foreseeable [future]. He will work on his parts for their collaboration while she is on tour and has scheduled time to attend select shows to gather inspiration for her next album.”
With Swift currently touring the world herself, the two are still working hard to find time to hang out. Healy was seen attending Swift's concert in Nashville and even performed with Phoebe Bridgers during the opening act. Videos and photos on social media showed Healy hanging out with people in Swift’s VIP section and dancing along to her hit single “Shake It Off”.

Healy hasn't been the only one dropping subtle hints. Taylor hinted at her relationship with Healy during her Boston performance, saying, “It’s insane. I kind of just feel like telling you that I don’t know, that just … I’ve never been this happy in my life in all aspects of my life ever before... And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It’s not just the tour—like, I don’t know, my life finally feels like it makes sense.”
