If you have at all followed the online discourse surrounding Hailey and Justin Bieber—namely, their tendency to dress up for the same event on completely different wavelengths—then Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s latest outing looks might not come as a surprise.

Yesterday, the couple headed out hand in hand in New York City, where they both braced for the over-90-degree weather in their own personal interpretations of transitional outerwear. (I, too, convince myself that fall weather will come faster if I go outside in a jacket.)

Fox’s look toed the line between corporate dressing and after-hours street style, with the Jennifer’s Body actor mixing a boxy gray blazer dress with a pair of thigh-high snakeskin stiletto boots. She upped the ante with her choice of accessories, which included layers of metallic choker necklaces, an asymmetrical black leather purse, and black shades. Her cherry-red bob, which she recently debuted, added an extra pop of colour.

Meanwhile, MGK opted for a monochromatic blue denim moment. The rapper wore a quilted jean puffer jacket, a fuzzy striped top, puffy cargo jeans, and blue-and-white sneakers. He accessorised with white sunglasses, silver earrings, a pearl choker, and a thin blue belt.

In a 2022  interview, Fox said she began to experiment with her style after she began dating MGK.

“Prior to being famous everyone who knew me always knew that I would always wear one really insane piece, and everybody would be like, ‘You dress weird.’ And it wasn't until I was molded and had to dress one way that I gave up on that,” she said. “And being with him, obviously, he’s slightly eccentric in the way that he dresses—and that has freed me up to express myself more. And he helped hook me up with Maeve Reilly, my stylist.”
