The annual Met Gala is here, and it’s shaped up to look like a K-Pop girl group takeover this year with a number of exciting debut appearances on the guest list. “Bad Angel” singer Lisa was confirmed to be part of the Met Gala host committee late last year—the first K-Pop act to do so in history—and she made her return to the inaugural event in an ethereal sheer white gown that made its rounds on TikTok before the star even made the red carpet.

She was joined by her fellow Blackpink members Jennie and Rosé, who are becoming Met Gala staples in their own right, as well as Jisoo (finally), who confirmed the ongoing speculations about her debut at the event by showing up in a sculptural, shimmering dress.
Also making their first appearance at the Met Gala are Aespa’s Karina and Ningning, but like Jisoo, their debut less of a surprise and more of an anticipated occasion, thanks to the girl groups’ eagle-eyed fans.
Below, all the K-Pop stars that made the Met Gala 2026 red carpet.
1. Lisa
We heard through the grapevine that Lisa’s dress would be made by the inimitable Robert Wun, the mastermind behind the couture looks from his fall winter 2024 collection inspired by parts of the human body.
Wun didn’t disappoint, of course. While we got a glimpse of her custom embellished dress as she was leaving her hotel, she added the final finishing touch before she stormed the red carpet—a matching veil held up by 3D printed replicas of Lisa’s arms in traditional Thai dance positions.

2. Jisoo
First impressions count, and Jisoo made the right one today. At her first-ever Met Gala, the Dior darling wore a custom creation by the house made in sparkling fabric that features a sculptural detail at the waistline and flowers that matched those in her hair.

3. Karina
Karina’s living up to her reputation as the A.I. visual, serving unreal glamour in a sleeveless Prada gown with a bejewelled neckline and straps under a ballooning black coat that trailed behind her. The purple and green gems in her ears and white hair accessories finished her angelic look.
4. Rosé
Our number one girl is back at the Met for the third time. This year, Rosé looks as sleek as ever in a black Saint Laurent strapless gown adorned by an oversized bird in flight on her hip. The symbol is a nod to The Birds, a 1949 painting by Georges Braque, which Yves Saint Laurent himself has referenced numerous times in his own work.

5. Jennie
Talk about making a splash. As expected for K-Pop’s It-girl, Jennie keeps us on our toes, sporting a royal blue Alaïa mini in 2024 before a two-piece contrasting look starring a voluminous gown last year.
This year, the Chanel ambassador wore a column gown from the label covered in large silver sequins, punctuated with Chanel High Jewellery pieces, plus pencil-thin brows.

6. Ningning
It’s Aespa’s maknae’s first time at the Met Gala as well, and she made a statement for sure, in Gucci, no less. The newly-minted global ambassador’s debut look? A ruffled off-the-shoulder gown composed of black sheer fabric that is already making the rounds on the internet.
