Describe your style.

I’d describe my style as simple and classic, in the sense that I always choose timeless, feminine silhouettes that are highly unlikely to ever go out of fashion. I also stick to a predominantly black and white palette, but always inject bold shades of red.

What is your first memory of fashion?

I just remember always going shopping with my mother. One time, she decided to dress me like a little soldier and even cut my hair short to complete the look.

What’s your most insane fashion item?

A rare, matte white Hermès Himalaya crocodile Birkin. The price has escalated tremendously now that it’s been discontinued.

Is there a runway trend you never get tired of?

The iconic, perennial little black dress. Every season, there is bound to be an LBD on the runways, either left classic and elegant as is, or reinvented with a new silhouette or unusual details. Either way, these pieces can last through the seasons.

Tell us what your most investment-worthy pieces are.

I’ve learned after years of impulse buys and trendy splurges that the only ones worth spending good money on are the classics: Chanel and Hermès. I’ve since become a lot more discerning about my bags, especially, and have been acquiring a lot more vintage Chanels found across Japan.
