Nick Cannon Says He'll "Never Have a Love" Like He Had With Mariah Carey
She will "always be my baby," he says.

Nick Cannon still has all the love for ex-wife Mariah Carey, and if he could get her back, he would, the singer admitted in a new interview.
"That's my fantasy love. That's somebody I will always love," Cannon said of Carey during a talk on The Hot Tee Talk Show this week. "I will never have a love like I had with Mariah. If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way that it was, I'm there."
He added, "Always be my baby," referring to the title of Carey's 1995 hit.
Cannon and Carey were married from 2008 to 2016, and share 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. The "We Belong Together" singer has since moved on with her former backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, while Cannon is expecting a child with model Bre Tiesi. (This will be his eighth child, Tiesi's first. Last year, his seventh child, Zen, with Alyssa Scott, died five months after birth due to brain cancer.)

Cannon's comments about Carey come after the release of his solo "Alone," which seemed to be a love letter to his ex-wife and included a clip of her 1990 single "Love Takes Time." In it, he sings, "First off, I'ma say I ain't got nothing but love for ya / I'ma stay away, I ain't tryna fuck it up for ya / I'ma keep my distance, stay in my lane / 'Cause I know you got a man, it's a little too late."
He also seems to mimic the comments he made in his recent interview about wishing he could go back to Carey. "I been trying to keep my distance, keep my distance / I been lying, I say I'm cool when I know I miss it / I trade it all for the case if I could have you back / If I could go back to where we started at," the lyrics read.
In the song, which was described as "an ode to Mariah Carey" in a press release, Cannon said that as much as he wants Carey back, they're probably better off apart because he's "still running the streets," "all in the sheets," and "having babies, models, and singers, and actresses saying they pregnant by me."
Carey has not publicly responded to her ex's musical tribute to her, but a day after Valentine's Day—when Cannon released "Alone"—she shared a sweet selfie of her and Tanaka embracing in complementing red-and-black looks. "Valentine's marathon continues. Hour 23! ❤️," she wrote in the caption.
