Rihanna is officially a mom!

The multi-hyphenate welcomed a baby boy with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, on May 13, TMZ reported today. Their son's name has yet to be announced.

This marks the first child for the couple, who were friends for years before making their relationship official in 2020.

Rihanna opened up about her hopes and expectations for motherhood in various interviews over the course of her pregnancy.

"It's all an exciting journey so far. I’m just taking it as it comes every week. There’s always something new and I’m just taking it and I’m enjoying it," she told Entertainment Tonight in February. Of her bold maternity outfits, she added, "Fashion is one of my favorite things, so, you know, we’re defying what it even means to be pregnant and maternal. It can get uncomfortable at times and so you can dress the part and pretend."

She echoed that sentiment in another recent interview.

"When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, There's no way I'm going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I'm sorry—it's too much fun to get dressed up," Rihanna told Vogue. "I'm not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing."

The mogul also got candid about her parenting style in a March interview with ELLE.

Comparing herself to Heather Dubrow and Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives reality TV franchise, she said, "Heather Dubrow is so chic while being a mom. Just love the way that she just allows her kids to be who they are. ... But Teresa [Giudice] from Jersey does not play about her kids. … She will flatten you about those kids. And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that's the type of mom I'm going to be. Psycho about it."
