By now, suits should be considered more or less a unisex sartorial endeavour. Still, the difference between the tailoring of menswear and womenswear is palpable. Suits made for women are often tighter and more form-fitting than their menswear counterparts.

Scarlett Johansson’s latest look intends to rectify that. The Asteroid City star stepped out in New York City yesterday to promote a new product from her skincare brand with Nordstrom, The Outset.

For the occasion, Johansson opted to wear a charcoal grey three-piece suit from Mango, consisting of a boxy single-breasted blazer, a button-up vest, and baggy pleated trousers. She added a feminine touch with her accessories: layers of gold pendant chain necklaces, small jade-and-gold hoop earrings, and chunky gold rings. She capped off the ensemble with black woven mules by Vivaia.

As for her glam, the actor opted for a natural glow with a hint of blush and a light pink lip. She added a white French tip manicure and a crimson pedicure, then swept her blonde hair up into a slick bun.

Johansson, who launched the Outset last year, talked to Bazaar.com last fall about introducing an exfoliant to the brand’s lineup.

“Everybody was asking for a skin polish,” she said. “In my whole journey of skincare, part of my routine was using a light exfoliant every day. So that is what ended up clearing all this crazy skin stuff that was going on.”

She added that she’s not necessarily buying into the glazed-doughnut trend: “With all of the products in the line, your skin feels healthy and hydrated and bouncy. But it’s not that glassy. As you get older, you don’t really want to look shiny. I don’t want to look like I just had a laser treatment.”
