The pop star made an entrance at New Jersey’s Prudential Center in a glamorous spring gown by Oscar de la Renta. The bold piece was composed entirely of flower-shaped appliqués that fell into a fringe train, which swished romantically as she walked, and included a plunging balconette bra neckline and a high leg slit. Gomez let the gown do the talking, pairing it only with strappy red sandals, white diamond floral earrings, and a matching diamond floral ring.

Gomez’s appearance tonight marks the first time she’s attended the VMAs since 2015. In recent years, she has opted to skip the award show, most likely because she did not receive many nominations. Since then, she has released plenty of new music, including her latest summer hit, “Single Soon.” And, she recently revealed to fans on Instagram, she is getting ready to drop her next album.
