Chantalle Ng
As this year’s Star Awards co-host, it was Ng’s moment to shine. She brought ethereal drama in a sculptural white ruffled gown that was romantic yet commanding. “She is hosting the awards ceremony this year, so we decided to be less experimental and go for glam,” Chan explained.
The show-stopper was created by an emerging Chinese brand, White Abyss, with Chan citing the “leather, ruffle and sheer corset” details as elements that make the look so special. “I have been following a lot of emerging Chinese designers, and they are really talented. I like that it’s not your typical long train gown, the ruffle quilting gives the leather dress a soft and romantic touch,” Chan shared.
Chan didn’t skimp out on the smaller details. He complemented the gown with Cartier jewels from the Cartier Creative Collection and a mint green Hublot watch.

Tyler Ten
Ten turned up the heat in a sophisticated yet playful open-chest Fendi ensemble. “Versatile and bold,” said Chan of the look, as the star transformed from fresh-faced newcomer to bona fide leading man for the Star Awards. The outfit was both classic and fun, like a tried-and-true suit, but with a cheeky subtle detail. “I like that deconstructed lapel design, almost like a slit at the abs,” Chan says.
Chan paired the deep V neck with Bvgari’s Serpenti necklace and on the hands, Bvlgari rings and a rainbow Hublot watch for a touch of colour. Of the styling process, Chan shared that “It’s a two-way conversation. We fitted many options and were down to two, and we couldn’t decide. But it’s good that Tyler had a clear vision—a clean neckline that accentuated the Bvlgari Serpenti neckline. That’s how we ended up with the final look.”
