Tonight, Kate Middleton is doing something she's only done thrice before: Wearing a tiara—and an extra special one at that. The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed arriving at the Queen's annual Diplomatic Reception wearing the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, which was given to Princess Diana as a wedding present by the Queen herself. Kate paired it with dangle earrings and what looks like a very Cinderella dress:

The tiara is diamond and pearl, according to the Daily Mail, and was originally commissioned by Queen Mary in 1914. If there was ever a statement piece, this is it.
