Actress Anne Curtis Joined Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore For An Exclusive Cover Reveal Party

Step into Anne Curtis’ exclusive reveal party for her January 2025 cover, co-hosted by Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore and Tiffany & Co.

On the evening of 11 January, the wet weather ceased for a brief but shining moment as Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore, in partnership with Tiffany & Co., welcomed guests to an intimate dinner party at Jiak Kim House, a restaurant housed in a historic warehouse along the river built over a hundred years ago.

The guest of honour for the celebratory New Year’s dinner was Filipina actress and host Anne Curtis, the cover star for the title’s January issue. Curtis had flown in from Manila that same day for a whirlwind weekend trip, where she connected with 18 of Singapore’s movers and shakers in a private dinner setting and shared her experience of working on the January cover.

The dinner was co-hosted by Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore Editor-in-Chief Kenneth Goh, as well as Patrick Da Silva, the market director of Singapore and the Philippines, and Pierre-Adrien Barreau, the director of communications, both for Tiffany & Co.

Guests included Kuek Yu Chuang, the deputy CEO of SPH Media; Dr Sue-Anne Toh, CEO and medical director of NOVI Health; legal counsel Serene Tan; aviation professional Benjamin Kim; and Andrea Savage, the co-CEO and creative director of A Life By Design. Many of the guests, including Sherry Ang, Dana Cheong, Wendy Long, Lynette Wong, and Bahareh Badiei have also graced the pages of BAZAAR, and are renowned for their outstanding personal style and gorgeously curated and inspiring homes. Also in attendance was model Aimee Cheng-Bradshaw, who graced BAZAAR’s July 2024 cover along with her sisters, Hannah and Ella.

The evening started with cocktails and conversation, as guests took in the stunning images of Curtis’ Marilyn Monroe-inspired cover shoot up close, where she donned exquisite jewels from Tiffany & Co.

A behind-the-scenes fashion film of the shoot played in the background while a blown-up January cover gave guests the perfect photo opportunity to grab a picture with Curtis herself.

The dinner kicked off with a welcome speech by Goh, where he shared that Curtis was the perfect individual to embody the “spirit, energy and glamour of Marilyn Monroe” for the New Beginnings-themed cover shoot in celebration of what would have been the late icon’s 99th year.

Curtis then addressed the guests, where she thanked the title for bringing her down and for giving her the honour of appearing on its cover. She also expressed her hope to chat with all the guests one on one.

After a toast to the new year, dinner proceeded with a delicious menu of modern Asian cuisine inspired by Singapore flavours. Guests tucked into the courses, which included a set of four appetisers served in a tingkat, tiger grouper with a black pepper sambal and mangosteen salsa, and a buah keluak ganache black forest dessert while the wine flowed as freely as the conversations.

The evening ended on a high as buoyed by the intimate yet lively vibe, guests left the dinner armed with Curtis’s Harper’s BAZAAR cover issue as a souvenir of the evening, as well as artisanal chocolate treats from Fossa Chocolate and luxurious bodycare products from Omno
