Art Stage is one of the biggest art shows in Southeast Asia, becoming the voice and platform for many renowned and up-and-coming Southeast Asian artists. This year, the theme is “Interactions” and in particular, they will be spotlighting artists from Thailand. In the last one and half years alone, the art scene in Thailand has seen incredible growth, with the opening of new art galleries and the increase in big art collectors such as Petch Osathanugrah and more. These big collectors are also planning to open their own museums in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

This is truly amazing to see creativity flourish in the Southeast Asian region and Art Stage is all about celebrating it. On top of that, they will be presenting the Southeast Asia Forum 2018 which aims to broaden the discussion of art. It has a thematic programme consisting an exhibition and a series of lectures that talk about the socio-poltical issues that directly impact SEA countries and how it is reflected in the art created in these regions. The exhibition is done is collaboration with The Artling Collectible Design Showcase which highlights the merging of design and art. Through this exhibition, they create a space where art and collectible
design come together, overlapping in their unique identities, tradition and culture.

Finally, the Signature Collectors’ Visits presents a platform for collectors to showcase their own own collection, thus encouraging and showing the importance of developing a strong art culture locally. Following the huge success of ART STAGE Jakarta 2016 and 2017, ART STAGE Singapore 2018 will be introducing the first edition of the Signature Collectors’ Visits with the strong encouragement and support from local collectors.
