With a design philosophy based on the architectural idea of Brutalism, Aaron Yong believes that in all garments, form follows function. Yong’s collection was inspired by the effects of global warming on corals. The colour palette—sand cashmere to represent the sea bed, red and blue to represent the conflict between the two water temperatures that lead to coral bleaching—directly references the issue, alongside the use of sustainable fabrics such as shredded bleached denim.
