Fedri Mak Named Winner Of The 2016 BAZAAR NewGen Award For Singapore

It's been an intense five-month search for Singapore's next wave of fashion design talent and that all came to a close last night at Scotts Square. The two young talents in the spotlight—Fedri Mak and Ng May Ee—kicked off the night with an exhibition of their collections at Pedder on Scotts, where close to 200 people also got to admire their work up close. In no time at all, Harper's BAZAAR Singapore's Editor-in-Chief Kenneth Goh made his way to the stage to announce the winner: Fedri was crowned the winner of the Harper's BAZAAR Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Award 2016 and will go on to represent Singapore in the regional finals of the competition (as well as $3,000 to go into his collection), while May Ee took home the runner-up position and $2,000 for her future projects.
