Team BAZAAR loves fashion, which was why it was difficult for us to pick out one item that we hold close to our heart. From vintage designer labels to flea market finds, here’s a peek at what we cherish most in our wardrobes.

“Now that we can’t travel the world, let the universe come to mine in Singapore with the globe printed silk coat from Phoebe Philo’s days at Céline. I’ve always loved her collections and this particular piece stands out for its simplicity in design, plus the print is so apt for these current times. The new norm but make it fashion!”

“I didn’t even have to consider for this one: these trusty flats – glamour and comfort all rolled into one – are it for me and I dread to think of a day when we must part.”

The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having had one. — Seneca, Philosopher.

“My friend and I bought the same piece of choker necklace when we travelled to Venice. Unfortunately, she passed away due to sickness a few years ago and so this has to be my most treasured item in my wardrobe to remember her by.”

“It’s all about high-quality pieces that I can wear over and over again. And that would be a Coach leather jacket that I’ve been wearing for two years and still counting, plus a hand-knitted sweater that has been in my wardrobe for 20 years! And I’m not even kidding. That’s many times over this sweater’s worth.”

“I love a good black blazer because you can wear it with almost anything. This one’s special because it was my dad’s old one — he saw from my Instagram that I was wearing a lot of blazers and so he dug this out from his closet for me.”

“I know I’ve shared this photo before, but this pair of silk Gorman culottes are my most treasured item in my wardrobe, hands down. I saved up and got them in Melbourne back in my uni days where everything was meant to be spent on just materials, etc. for university… But when I saw these, I knew I just had to have them. I barely wear them in fear that I’d ruin them one day.”

“My only brightly coloured piece of clothing in a sea of black. I chanced upon this Vivienne Westwood Red Label heart lapel jacket in a second-hand store when I visited Tokyo. It’s such an iconic design that I had to get it. Even though my wardrobe is almost exclusively black, I still can’t bear to part with it.”

“My trusty military jacket that I bought from a flea market over 10 years ago. It has gone places with me and served me well.”

“One of the most treasured items in my wardrobe has to be these peep-toe pumps. Although I only wore it once at my wedding, I will never get rid of them because every time I see them, they remind me of that one special day in my life. And yes, it always sparks joy.”

“I associate certain pieces of clothing in my wardrobe with memories and emotions. And the one that evokes plenty of happy memories has got to be this cobalt blue pinstriped blazer. It’s what I wore to my first Paris Fashion Week to watch the Chanel Spring/Summer 2020 show. Words can’t describe that feeling of excitement, and I’m so glad I have photos and articles of clothing to remember that time by.”

“Wow, I had such a hard time picking a true wardrobe obsession…. Teenage Margaux would’ve said her boots (which still rings true today) but now, I really treasure my maxi dresses a lot. (I could live in all my maxis!) At the moment, I’m really been loving this dramatic iteration by H&M‘s Conscious Collection because of the puff sleeves, flounce skirt, and not to mention, the fact that it really reminds me of a Marc Jacobs kind of aesthetics.”
