This year Victoria Beckham – who is famous for her love of high heels – swapped her stilettos for trainers. "I just can't do heels any more," she told The Telegraph. "At least not when I'm working. I travel a lot." It gave working women everywhere an excuse to give our feet a break (with proof that you can still look just as stylish).

Despite having a newfound affection for trainers, Beckham still remained our number one workwear inspiration. Her pleated skirts, smart shirts and tailored co-ords all continued to inspire our choice of officewear.

Victoria Beckham is rarely seen in anything other than Victoria Beckham. Her faith in and love of her own designs not only help her be one of the most stylish women in the world, but likely greatly aid her business as well.

Just like the first time around, Blake Lively did not play by the maternity rulebook during her second pregnancy. From a leather bodice to skintight dresses with cut-out detail, a growing bump does not stop this woman from wearing what she wants and she proved that pregnant women do not have to compromise.

The actress has a wardrobe that any little girl (including her two daughters) would dream to have. This was most evident in Cannes. First there was the Cinderella-inspired ruffled gown and then Lively wore this blue Versace dress which inevitably drew Elsa comparisons. A wardrobe fit for a princess.

Lively accompanied husband Ryan Reynolds to the White House for a state dinner in March. The actress wore a beautiful – and appropriate – gown by Ralph & Russo, which became one of our favourite fashion moments of the year.

The Oscar-winning actress proved she could hold her own alongside the Hollywood heavyweights in a number of beautiful Louis Vuitton gowns. From this pleated white dress that she wore to the Golden Globes to the yellow 'Belle' number, Vikander landed on every best dressed list going.

She may be fairly new to the fame game but Vikander always manages to look dressed to perfection. How? Because she keeps it simple. From elegant black dresses to tailored coats, she proves that it's hard to go wrong when you opt for the classics.

Since turning up to the Academy Awards looking like the ultimate Bond girl in a gold Tom Ford gown, Margot Robbie's red carpet wardrobe has gone from strength to strength.

Promotional tours for Suicide Squad and Tarzan meant Robbie spent the summer on the red carpet in some of this season's most beautiful gowns. There was that unicorn-embellished Alexander McQueen dress, a ladylike sheer Miu Miu number and of course, this Gucci gown.

Known for her low-key lifestyle, Robbie's off-duty wardrobe follows suit. Classic coats, relaxed jeans, pretty summer dresses and fancy flats.

With the kind of lifestyle she leads, it's not surprising that there are rules and dress codes to abide by. That being said though, she does it better than anyone else. Whether for a day at the races or feeding elephants in India, she knows exactly what to wear for every occasion.

While she'll never navigate far from the dress code, that doesn't mean the Duchess' wardrobe is either boring or predictable. Willing to take risks at the right moments – like in this off-the-shoulder Barbara Casasola dress – she's also a great supporter of young British designers.

She doesn't appear to have found her 'uniform' yet, meaning she's always up for trying something new. From edgy co-ords to fashion-forward yellow sunglasses, she'll often step outside of her comfort zone and that is something to be admired.

After becoming face of the brand earlier this summer, Hadid's relationship with Dior has made for some very special red carpet moments, no more so than when she became the first to wear one of Maria Grazia Chiuri's designs. The pairing is a match made in heaven.
