Virginie Viard flew the Chanel flag high for her debut show at the Grand Palais, which was transformed into a Parisian train station. Viard stayed true to the late Karl Lagerfeld's aesthetic while writing her own story of silhouettes in motion, both strong and subtle at once. Besides the Maison's iconic black and white, the show was a colourful medley of deep bistre and mocha browns, navy and cobalt blues; as well as bright pink, green, blue, fuchsia, mauve and sky. Smart layering, utilitarian pockets, big bows, slit trousers and delicate appliques set the mood for chic travelers on a journey to infinity.
