New York Fashion Week is upon us. From rappers on the runway to meditative stop-offs, get a glimpse at the current state of the style union.

1. Fashion Killed the Radio Star?

Yeezy Season 3 is showing with much fanfare at Madison Square Garden and Rihanna is having her first presentation/party for her PUMA x Fenty Line on Wall Street—proof that the front row is continuing its take-over of the catwalk. Now with better music. And covetable sneakers.

2. The Fashion Meditation

Word on the street is that fashion people are overwhelmed with fashion week. They are, however, very into meditation. The best place to marry the two between shows is MNDFL Meditation Studio. Namaste.

3. Vetements vs. Gucci

The designer street style battle is on, and it's definitively newcomer Vetements against Alessandro Michele's Gucci. Will the reigning street style stars gravitate towards hoodies or bow-neck blouses?

4. Culture Clash

With so many shows along the West Side Highway, editors, stylists and the glitterati en masse will doubtlessly be pulled into the art mecca that is the new Whitney Museum. We recommend post-art bites at Santina next door.

5. Hey, Barneys

A mournful hush befell Chelsea when Barneys Warehouse closed, but downtown high fashion lovers can now rejoice: their beloved Barneys is coming home with the even more exciting Barneys New York Downtown. We love when fashion pleases the people.

6. Calvin Klein Goes to Brooklyn

It's so passé to party in Manhattan. Calvin Klein got the memo and is taking its fashion week fête with Dazed & Confused Magazine over the bridge. It's on a weekend night and starts late. Get your dancing shoes on.

7. Tom Ford, We Hardly Knew You

Tom Ford's show was unexpectedly on the New York Fashion Week calendar—until just a few days ago ,when the venerable designer announced he was joining ranks with the likes of Burberry and showing his Fall collection in September, right before it hits retail. Now, the industry's head is collectively swirling with new direct-to-consumer ideas.

Buzzy young ones are hitting the fashion week circuit and giving us life in the process.Eckhaus Latta is showing love to Queens at MoMa PS1; Monse's Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim have moved on from Oscar de la Renta's atelier to build their own name; Alexander Wang alum Amanda Phelan will show a dance-centric presentation for a second time; Sies Marjan, formerly of Dries van Noten and Balmain, is expected to have a couture-level look; and former stylist Brandon Maxwell is bringing his celeb influence to Monkey Bar to show his latest wares.

10. The Moving Work Space

Breather provides private, on-demand work spaces and they've set up near a host of Fashion Month venues. Each are equipped with Wifi and can be booked and unlocked via mobile app or online at breather.com for 30 minutes up to a full business day. It's so last season to work in a traditional office.
