Today it has been revealed that Beyoncé‘s new fashion label will be called Ivy Park. We have also been given a sneak peak of the star modelling the collection on her own Instagram account as well as the newly created @weareivypark account.
There has been talk of Beyoncé’s collaboration with Topshop for some time, with an announcement made in December that the ‘athleisure’ line would land in April 2016. Today, more details were announced. It was revealed that Ivy Park is an activewear brand for women that is a joint venture and stand-alone brand between Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green.
“Sir Philip has created some amazing collaborations but I wanted a partnership and a stand-alone brand,” Beyoncé said in a press release. “When I’m working and rehearsing I live in my work out clothes but I didn’t feel there was an athletic brand that spoke to me. My goal with Ivy Park is to push the boundaries of athletic wear and to support and inspire women who understand that beauty is more than your physical appearance. True beauty is in the healthy of our minds, hearts, and bodies. I know that when I feel physically strong, I am mentally strong and I wanted to create a brand that made other women feel the same way.”
Beyoncé is on the cover of Elle this month, where she talks about her new line. Watch the exclusive video here.
The collection will be available from April 14 from a number of outlets, including Topshop and Net-A-Porter
