Adidas Launches The First Vegan Stan Smiths

The German sportswear company links up with Stella McCartney again

Known for their eye-catching collaborations from Kanye West to Stella McCartney, Adidas never fails to grab our attention. While the German sportswear brand successfully merged fashion and sports with its earlier collaboration with the latter, it teams up with the British designer again to launch leather-free Stan Smiths.

For its first vegan-friendly shoe, there are zero animal-derived ingredients and byproducts (e.g. petroleum-derived polyurethane). Dubbed the Stella #stansmiths, the elements of McCartney's playful aura appear in the form of her signature cutout stars at the sides of the shoe and her dotted brand logo. Taking it one step further, the designer pays a not-so-stuble homage to herself with her face on the tongue of the shoe. Keeping in line with the original design, the Stella #stansmiths feature chunky maroon and blue stripes at the back of heel. With a knockout shoe like this, you can wear it everyday without feeling guilty.

Slated for an islandwide release on 10 September 2018, the collaboration will honour McCartney as it will be her 47th birthday. (P.S. You can also buy a pair for your man, guy friend or brother as each pair is unisexy!)  Available at Stella McCartney Paragon, Hilton Hotel and Club 21 locations, you can't afford to miss out on this one-off collab.
