For Longchamp’s spring/summer 16 ad campaign, the French label has teamed up with style maven Alexa Chung and iconic photographer Peter Lindbergh. The duo were sent to Paris and what transpired were a series of elegant pictures that felt natural, fresh, and sensual—an inevitable result when one has two fashion legends on a shoot.
However, a sitting with Lindbergh is like no other. It is an experience in itself; intimate and unearthing. His work was once described by Suzy Menkes as looking into “each person’s unvarnished soul, however familiar or famous the sitter”.
One could only wonder what Lindbergh found in Chung when shooting the campaign that remains hidden from the public eye.
