Another spectacular that is Men’s Fashion Week has come and gone again, and this time the fall/winter 2019 catwalks were buzzing with activity. Hedi Slimane and Kris van Assche made splashy debuts—the former officially launched CELINE into the menswear arena with a club culture-infused showing, while the latter flipped the page to a new chapter at Berluti. Meanwhile, Kim Jones and Virgil Abloh solidified their standings at Dior Men and Louis Vuitton with sophomore outings that delivered plenty of hype. Other designers, such as Dries van Noten and Ermenegildo Zegna’s Alessandro Sartori, reiterated the beauty of tailoring in a men’s wardrobe with collections that transcended space and time.
