It was a night of mystery and intrigue at Saint Laurent, as guests gathered in a dramatic fountain scene constructed at the Jardins du Trocadéro. The Yves’ hooded ‘capuche’ pieces from the mid-1980s—which established an iconic key motif that has permeated pop culture since—provided a pivotal point of reference for Anthony Vaccarello this season.
Models took on darker alter egos in slinky tubular hoods, dark glasses and oversized leather jackets in muted brights and luscious browns. Elegant floor-length gowns worn beneath bold, big coats with strong shoulders oozed powerful vibes, while sexy cutout jersey twist tops, sheer column dresses and pajama-inspired satin looks conveyed an effortless sophistication. These were juxtaposed with lush leathers, sculptural wood and gold jewellery to potent effect.
